Shindigz recognized their award-winning customer service team this week. The theme was “Red Carpet Service”.
Customer Service Week is a nationally recognized event and was passed by Congress in 1992. It’s a week to recognize the importance of customer service and aims to honor the people who serve and support customers. Like most events, Shindigz took it to the next level. Jodie Batterton, Customer Service Manager, stated “This is our way of showing appreciation and saying thank you to the team for providing great service to our customers all year long.”
On Monday morning, Party Hosts came in to find the entire Customer Service room decorated with Hollywood props, star mylar balloons and Hollywood danglers. Personalized Walk of Fame Star Decals were placed on the floor by each of their desks so they knew they are VIPs! “We each have our own star in the Walk of Fame and the paparazzi are popping. It’s always great to see our products in action; they really transform a room.” said Peggy McCarthy, Customer Service Representative. Once the party hosts reached their desk, they found a rose and a card to turn in as a Customer Service Red Carpet Tip. These tips are displayed on the bulletin board. One lucky winner was drawn everyday for Shindigz Bucks for turning in their card. Another random drawing was held through out the week to win DVDs. Party Hosts could decide on choosing a wrapped DVD or stealing someone else’s DVD. Some of the movies were The Blindside” “Ironman” “Walk the Line” and “The Notebook”.
Tuesday, Party Hosts were given a ticket to personalize a free banner to display on their cubicle with their name on it. Party Hosts could choose from thousands of designs online. Party Hosts arrived on Wednesday to find a plastic popcorn container filled with packs of microwave popcorn and movie candy. Thursday was Ice Cream Sundae Day. Each Party Host received special sundae bowls and spoons to take home as a party favor. Friday involved a delicious feast! This Red Carpet Meal was served like they were true VIP, served on real china plates with plastic silverware. “The surprises never stopped coming.” Peggy continued. Shindigz happily celebrates this week of recognition every year and looks forward to next year’s festivities, but it sounds like this year will be heard to beat.
